(A review of 5 Centimeters Per Second)The film it's divided in three chapters which portrays different stages of Takaki Tono's life having to deal with distance beteween the girl he loves. If you ever had someone you like somehow taken away from you by a large distance then 5 centimeters per second it's going to describe your feelings perfectly, I really feel in Takaki's place. Different from others Makoto Shinkai's works this film doesn't have science fiction elements which creates a realistic view of the world we live in, and how sometimes we hold on so tight in our past but time and distance slowly separate we from the past and even if two person like each other one day they just move on with their lifes letting go of their hearts, learning how to grow up. Soundtrack is great, background is beautifully made, skies are stunning. It's a simple yet complex story about life. 0 comments, Reply to this entry

(A review of Fear(s) of the Dark)This film it's about your fears and your imagination. Sometimes the way you project your fears in your head you may project them with such a huge intensity that your fears actualy become "real" to you, in a way you cannot get rid of them. Your paranoia creates a false reality making that false reality be part of your life and your imagination keeps seeing things that aren't real. There are several stories in this movie all of them talks about a different fear but deal with them the same way. In each storie a different drawing style it's used all in black and white giving them a sensation of darkness. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
memories in blocks

(A review of La Maison en Petits Cubes)Your life is like "blocks" in which your memories are on, the feelings of solitude are filled with sadness as you pass through those blocks, because the past always seems better than future. It is such a lovely movie, as the old man's memories were passing I felt some kind of nostalgic sad feeling, but at the same time I felt comfortable. Kunio Kato was able to put so many feelings on this movie and pass them to you. The music and the drawing style helps to make the animation deeply and give it a sensation of serenity. This is the best short film I've ever seen! I definitely recomend it. 0 comments, Reply to this entry

(A review of Alice)The mix of stop-motion and live-action is great, the feeling of the movie is kind of dark and surreal which I like, I have always seen Alice as something dark and bizarre, so this movie really fits in my conceptions. Altough I particulary do not really like Jan Svankmajer's style, I think he had a really wonderful vision about Alice in this movie, like she's the one who does the puppets voices as if she was imagining them saying it, places, Alice on the little size, characters, things like that. Neco z Alenky it is a bizarre dreamlike film not quite a movie for children in my opinion. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
"I know what they mean by missing"

(A review of FairyTale: A True Story)A lovely movie, not really a children's film, not really a fairy film. It's a film about believing in the unbelivable, because we can never lose faith in things even if people try to make you put your feet on the ground, sometimes you have to fly a little to have dreams and hope. The characters development, the dialogues, the details are very well worked, it captivates you. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
